We've been here for 1 week.   Wow, it's been quite busy.  Our campsite on Usery Mountain is great; it is spacious and has a concrete table, fire pit, charcoal grill and is quite close to one of the Park's bathhouses.  There are several trails where we and the dogs can get some exercise.  It rained on Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday, so we haven't taken advantage of them yet.  Maybe today (Friday).

The sunshine returned in force on Thursday--very nice.  And to make it an even nicer day, we met friends Debra & Gene Kolkman (whom we worked with in the early-mid 90s) for lunch.  It was great to reminisce and hear about their new home in Mexico.

Gene, Debra and me!

Like last year, we've had some issues with internet accessibility.  So we've upgraded our HotSpot to a MIFI unit and it seems to be more reliable. Isn't is amazing how dependent we are on the Internet!

It's VERY windy today, but sunny and going to reach into the low 60s; might be a good day to try those trails.

Stay tuned.  C&C
