It's January 4th already!

Wow, it's already January 4.  No Blog for almost a week.  I'll bet you are wondering where we've been.  On Friday afternoon, we began a busy weekend with Steve, Kimm, Haley, and Jenna.  We all trooped to the Arizona Mills Shopping Center to tour the SeaLife Aquarium.  This facility, in the middle of a busy shopping mall, has a fabulous array of underwater creatures from the tiniest sea horses to huge Japanese spider crabs.  It's especially fun for youngsters. Kiddies (big kids too) can reach into tanks to touch starfish, anemones, and manta rays.  It was fun.

Next day was New Year's Eve.  At lunch time Steve and Kimm took us to a great little Mexican restaurant whose signature Margaritas helped us start the new year's celebrating just a little bit early!  After lunch Jenna strolled around the pond abutting the restaurant.

The weather was sunny and warm.  The pool at Steve's and Kimm's house was too tempting for the pups.  They wanted some play time, too.

Just before the sun set, Steve adjusted his new telescope so we could do some star gazing.  Though we did not use the telescope, we all witnessed a meteor flame out while we were watching the evening's fireworks.   Quite a sight!

Dancin' in the driveway!

Grandma & Grandpa called it a night at midnight Minnesota time, but the hardy Arizona family rang in the New Year right on time.

We returned to Palm Creek RV and Golf Resort on Monday January 2.  We are camped just down the street from where we stayed last year.  And as luck would have it we are right across the street from Jan & Del from WIsconsin who were our neighbors last year.  It is good to see them again.  Here's a pic of their coach, all decked out for the holidays.

We've been here less than 3 days and we continue to be pleased with our decision to return to Palm Creek.  Every person we've met has welcomed us and encouraged us to participate in any of the activities offered here.  I tried the water aerobics class this morning and plan to go often.  I've biked the Park and Corky has soaked in the hot tub nearby.  And, of course, the boys have made lots of new friends at each of the doggy parks.  WE REALLY LIKE IT HERE!
